Read sir's blog here

really touching
it reminds me of the good ol' days we've had since we first joined NPCC

Remembering the days when i just joined NPCC
i hated this cca.
my first choice was CO and i tried means and ways to leave the cca
but due to the encouragement by my friends, I stayed behind.
and i did not regret till this day
our first instructor was eng kiat sir
to me, he was boorish and of course, biased
he would always choose the people that he liked
it would always be eugenia and rachel
i really hated the three of them then
it just wasn't fair
the camp they held did not help
eng kiat sir brought 4NCOs from his home school, Sengkang
the soon the girls were swooning over the 2 male NCOs namely jian rong and vincent
i would not bring myself to their level

then came to end of eng kiat sir's reign
we were introduced to our first ever HO
compared to eng kiat sir, he seemed more educated, organised and quiet
but humans hate adapting to new things
and naturally i did not welcome change
but we had to adapt
mervyn sir started introducing changes to our unit
he introduced proper planning and organisation
along with him where 2 CIs-xiu min ma'am and jia ying ma'am
together they got us out of our pathetic state and onto a level where everyone in our area started noticing us and acknowledging us
CIs form other schools would boast about our high level of discipline
the new officers showed impartiality to us
they gave chances for us to volunteer instead of choosing the people
they also explained why they did things and made sure we understood
trainings were definitely tougher but we felt better and happier
camps were a success where everyone enjoyed themselves
we felt bonded and enjoyed each other's company
we were one

sec3 marks the start of our leadership year
we were seasoned and ever ready to go
many were dissatisfied with their roles and ranks
but we all knew
we had a part to play in the unit
we grew to love each one and another so much
though we still have a frequent quarrels
we still stood as one
the other ccas may jeer and try to bring us down
but we always stood up for ourselves and brush their criticisms off
nothing mattered more then staying happy together
because this is what we are

And what we will always be.
