well.
i shall blog about my 2nd first aid lesson then

honestly, i believe this lesson would be the one i enjoyed most through out the whole course.
firstly, our trainer was really really humorous
secondly, we strangers actually warmed up more to each other and a lot of funny things happened
thirdly, we get to do practical stuff instead of oh-so-boring theory lessons

but sadly, this trainer is only a volunteer at red cross and will only be taking us for one lesson
and that we have been switching trainers so often because our actual trainer, mr desouza is on mc
the first slide he showed us was his credentials.
woa. this guy is a paramedic and trainer for red cross, st. john and SCDF.

he went through respiratory problems (choking, asthma, hyperventilation etc.)
for choking, you will most probably have to perform the abdominal thrust or chest thrust(for obese and pregnant people)
then he split us into two rows. guys and gals separated
there was an odd number so i had no partner and had to just observe :/
firstly, row one will be the first aider and row two, the casualty
scenario- choking. perform abdominal thrust
that went well
secondly, row one-casualty and row two-first aider
scenario- eight month pregnant lady choking, perform chest thrust
and guess what
CHUN KIT WAS IN ROW ONE
wahahahahahahahahaha. eight month pregnant lady.

was giggling to myself in the corner
then smsed my bro about it during the break
me:"Wong chun kit is 8 month pregnant casualty"
bro:"Treatment:ask casualty eat liver"
me:"Choking neh.. Someone gave him chest thrusts.."
bro:"Jump on him la induce labour
me:"LOL"
xDDDDDDD (beware of AHS SJAB first aiders, you never know what treatment they give xD)

then for unconscious choking casualty
perform 30 chest compressions
then this Filipino guy was doing it
he pressed so hard that the dummy looked as if it was going to break!
the whole room laughed like mad
xD the trainer even asked him to take it easy.
but i don't think he understood that and the dummy was giving out cracking sounds
then the trainer said
" what if you were doing chest compressions and you suddenly hear a crack? That would mean you might have broken the casualty's ribs! Do you still continue CPR or chest compressions?"
Ans: Continue

xD shall stop here xD
